John 5 and Wednesday 13 are set to join forces for a special run of live performances in 2027, with the Wednesday 13 frontman joining John 5’s backing band The Creatures for a series of shows planned for the second half of the year.
The upcoming performances will feature an expanded setlist expected to include covers from several projects throughout John 5’s career, including material connected to bands and artists he has performed with over the years.
Known for his work with Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and David Lee Roth, John 5 has built a lengthy career spanning multiple eras of rock and metal. The upcoming shows will give fans the opportunity to hear him revisit songs from some of those influential chapters alongside one of the scene’s most recognizable vocalists.
The first announced appearance for this new collaboration will take place at the 2027 ‘Wacken Open Air’ festival, scheduled for July 28th-31st, 2027 in Wacken, Germany.
John 5 commented on the upcoming performances:
“I’ve really missed playing these songs that for years were so much a part of my life. Having such an amazing showman as Wednesday 13 join me will ensure the performances are killer. And to have the first show we announce be the Wacken festival in 2027 is truly awesome.”
Wednesday 13 also shared his excitement about the collaboration:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be sharing the stage with John 5. He has been such a staple in the music world and is one of the best, and most respected guitarists out there. John and I have been friends for years and we have toured together with our bands going all the way back to 2010.
“All the projects he’s been involved with over the years are all of my favorite bands, and have been such an influence on me. To be able to sing some of these songs along with him is really a true honor. I really can’t wait to get out on the road next year.”
Additional dates for the John 5 and Wednesday 13 live collaboration are expected to be announced in the future.
