The band offered the following regarding the video:
“With ‘Blood Red Camry Dance Party‘ we wanted to write something specific for Casey Diamond, a fictitious high schooler introduced in our 2018 release Why Did You Do It?. The song illustrates Diamond buying her first car from the counselor of Lemon House, the high school she attends. It’s a very happy and exciting moment, so we wanted the music and lyrics to reflect that feeling. Matching the music to the character was a big goal for expanding upon our sound and the story. We’ve always considered Kaonashi to be a progressive band, and this is a progression of our sound.”
