A new trailer has arrived for the upcoming documentary ‘Megadeth: Behind The Mask’, which is set to hit theaters next month. Directed by Casey Tebo (known for ‘Steven Tyler: Out On A Limb’ and ‘Black Veil Brides: Alive And Burning’), the film chronicles the 40-year legacy of Megadeth, while also serving as a listening experience for the band’s forthcoming self-titled final studio album.
The documentary will screen in theaters on January 22nd, with the album following a day later. Earlier this year, founder Dave Mustaine confirmed that this next album cycle will be the band’s last, with a global farewell tour to follow. Expected to run three to five years, the trek will effectively close the book on Megadeth’s storied career. Mustaine has stated that ongoing health concerns factored into his decision to wind down the band.
