Metallica have launched a new limited-edition pale ale in collaboration with Blood Brothers Brewing, cleverly titled ‘Until It Sips’. The name nods to the band’s 1996 single “Until It Sleeps”, featured on their controversial yet enduring Load album.
Crafted to coincide with the recent release of Load (Super Deluxe Box Set), the 5.5% ABV brew is described as a full-flavored pale ale dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, and Cascade hops. The result is a medium-dry, juicy ale with tropical fruit and citrus aromas, designed to deliver bold flavor with low bitterness.
A portion of the proceeds from each can sold will benefit All Within My Hands, Metallica’s charitable foundation.
The brewery shared:
“We have brewed the Cure for The Thorn Within: crack a pale and let it sip!”
You can order the beer now via bloodbrothersbrewing.com. The Load (Super Deluxe Box Set) also arrived earlier this month, featuring hundreds of bonus tracks and archival material from the album’s studio sessions and tour cycle.
