Monolord Enlist Grave’s Jörgen Sandström For New Single “It’s Neverending”

Swedish doom metal outfit Monolord have unveiled their latest single It’s Neverending, the final advance preview from their upcoming album Neverending.

The track features guest vocals from Jörgen Sandström, adding a distinct layer of classic Swedish death metal influence to the band’s doom-heavy sound.

Monolord guitarist and vocalist Thomas Jäger spoke about how the collaboration came together, noting that Sandström ultimately elevated the final version of the song.

“I did the growling on the demo, but it took me forever to record. It was more like to illustrate the idea. But Jörgen’s voice is so powerful, and his performance on the song is really great.”

Bassist Mika Häkki also reflected on the moment the finished vocals came together in the studio.

“When we got the vocals finally in place, I remember I just burst into laughter. That was just my sincere reaction to how happy that end result made me. Jörgen must have opened some new portal of some kind with those screams!”

The band’s upcoming full-length Neverending is set for release on May 29 via Relapse Records.

Monolord will also be supporting the album with extensive touring across North America and Europe throughout the year, including runs with Mizmor and Khemmis, as well as a series of festival appearances.
