MOODRING Debut New Single “Cannibal”

Alternative metal project Moodring has premiered their latest track, “Cannibal”, online today, December 3rd. Fronted by Hunter Young (PSYCHO-FRAME, etc.), the band dives into dark, industrial-tinged alt-metal on this new offering. Young shared the inspiration behind the single:

“‘Cannibal’ was one of the last songs added to the record, sonically focused on combining nu metal, alt rock, and industrial dance music. The song takes the life and mating cycles of black widow spiders to compare and contrast intimate relationships of our own and how they can be ‘cannibalistic,’ nihilistic, and ultimately end in demise.”

The track is also featured in the trailer for the upcoming season of the Crunchyroll manga series Clevatess, giving it extra exposure across media. Moodring signed with SharpTone Records earlier this year and wrapped sessions for their new album this past March, though an official release date for the full-length has yet to be announced.
