Moodring Debut “Masochist Machine” Video Ahead Of New Album ‘Death Fetish’ Release

Alternative metal outfit Moodring have announced that their highly anticipated new album ‘Death Fetish’ is set for release on March 27th. Ahead of the full release, the band have shared a music video for the album’s third single, “Masochist Machine”.

Fronted by Hunter Young, Moodring’s latest effort features 12 tracks, blending dark, intense themes with their signature alternative metal sound. Speaking on the new single, Young explained:

“‘Masochist Machine‘ is about being used by your own addictions and obsessive compulsions. A losing struggle against illicit drugs, sex, and a longing for any kind of release from this life. This coincides with a retrofuturistic musical backdrop, seeking another form of escapism.”

The video for “Masochist Machine” was directed, filmed, and edited by Olli Appleyard, vocalist of British screamo/post-hardcore band Static Dress, giving the visual a raw and immersive aesthetic. On the album as a whole, Young added:

“I just wanted to make a dark, honest record. And if people don’t like it, I don’t really care. I had to do it for myself.”
