Mötley Crüe and Shinedown both appeared during the season finale of American Idol on May 11th, delivering collaborative performances alongside special guests.
Mötley Crüe were joined by diamond-certified country superstar Carrie Underwood for a shortened rendition of their classic 1985 power ballad “Home Sweet Home,” before launching into “Kickstart My Heart.”
Meanwhile, Shinedown brought out ‘American Idol’ contestant Philmon Lee for performances of their recent single “Searchlight” and their multi-platinum 2008 hit “Second Chance.”
The finale episode also featured appearances from several additional guest performers, including Nelly and En Vogue, while also crowning the latest winner of the long-running singing competition series.
