Mudvayne Earn First-Ever Platinum Certifications In The United States

More than two decades into their career, Mudvayne have officially reached platinum status in the United States for the first time.

The reunited progressive nü-metal outfit were awarded a new batch of certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 20th, 2026, marking a major milestone for the Illinois-born band.

Singles

• “Happy?” – Gold, Platinum & 2x Platinum
• “Dig” – Gold & Platinum
• “Not Falling” – Gold & Platinum

The certifications reflect combined physical and digital sales alongside streaming equivalents. In the U.S., platinum represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Under current RIAA standards, 10 permanent track downloads equal one album unit, 1,500 on-demand audio/video streams count as one album unit, and 150 streams of a single equate to one track-equivalent unit.

Mudvayne returned to the stage in 2021 after an 11-year hiatus and have remained active in recent years. However, the band are reportedly expected to take much of 2026 off following their recent run of activity.
