German technical death metal outfit Obscura have unveiled a new music video for “The Prolonging”, one of the standout tracks from the band’s latest album, ‘A Sonication’.
The new clip was directed by Mirko Witzki, whose previous work includes videos for Arch Enemy and Kreator, and gives the track a visual counterpart as Obscura continue their touring cycle behind the album.
According to mastermind Steffen Kummerer, “The Prolonging” has quickly become a favorite among fans since making its live debut on the band’s recent tours.
“‘The Prolonging’ became one of the shortest and fastest tracks we have delivered to date — and quickly turned into a fan favourite during the recent tours supporting our latest album, ‘A Sonication’.”
Kummerer also confirmed that Obscura plan to bring the song back to the stage as they continue their touring plans across North America, Europe and the UK.
“We are looking forward to bringing ‘The Prolonging’ back to the stage on our upcoming tours across North America, Europe & the UK. See you on tour — and don’t miss out.”
