Oceans Of Slumber have just released a stream of their latest single, “The Given Dream”, across digital platforms today, August 20th. The track will also appear on the progressive doom metal band’s upcoming album, Where Gods Fear To Speak, set for release on September 13th through Season Of Mist.
Vocalist Cammie Beverly shared some insight into the demanding nature of the song, commenting, “This is one of the most tiring songs to sing on the album. I’m belting from the beginning. Going from a belt to soprano and back again is not a break. Singing soprano takes more breath than singing mid-range or alto. You have to hold your vocal cords tight.”
