Officer Lucifer Release New Single “Swallow”, Continue Dystopian Narrative With Explosive New Video

Officer Lucifer have unveiled their latest single and music video, “Swallow”, continuing the band’s expanding conceptual universe built around resistance, control, and engineered collapse.

The new track serves as a direct continuation of their ongoing narrative transmission, following the previously released “Far From Right”, which featured Page Hamilton of Helmet.

“Swallow” takes aim at manufactured misinformation and the systems that thrive on confusion, presenting a sharp critique of blind consumption and distorted reality in the modern world.

Guitarist David Coloma described the track as a direct challenge to submission and passive thinking:

“‘Swallow’ is a direct confrontation with blind obedience. A track about submission, manipulation, and the systems that thrive when people stop thinking for themselves.”

Musically, the track blends metal, punk, grunge, and Latin rhythmic influences into a dense, aggressive soundscape, driven by distorted guitars, heavy rhythmic patterns, and melodic vocal lines from Yves Myr.

Lyrically, “Swallow” focuses on cycles of misinformation and psychological overload, exploring how constant exposure to fear-driven narratives can distort personal identity and perception of truth. Within the band’s wider lore, these themes mirror a dystopian conflict between engineered hybrid beings and their human creators.

Instrumentation on the track features Andrés Benavides on drums and Pancho Tomaselli on bass, recorded by Daniel Pasquel at La Increíble Sociedad in Quito, Ecuador. Final mixing was handled by Jesse Gander at Rain City Recorders, with mastering completed by Jamie King.

Officer Lucifer operate as a conceptual collective rather than a traditional band, blending heavy music with cinematic world-building. Their mythology centers on hybrid, half-machine entities rebelling against human control, with each release adding another chapter to the unfolding narrative.

The project first emerged with “Uncivil War”, establishing its dystopian tone and visual identity. Members are portrayed as ranked hybrid soldiers within a larger resistance structure, reinforcing the band’s themes of unity, defiance, and systemic collapse.

With “Swallow”, Officer Lucifer continue to push that vision forward, merging genre-blurring heaviness with a tightly constructed narrative world designed to feel both immersive and confrontational.
