Chicago, IL post-metal veterans Russian Circles have begun teasing their long-awaited ninth studio album, marking their first full-length release since 2022’s Gnosis.
A newly launched Spotify pre-save campaign reveals that the seven-song effort is slated for release on August 28th via Sargent House. While additional details remain under wraps, the band have shared a brief preview of what appears to be a new track titled “Empath.”
The forthcoming album will serve as the follow-up to Gnosis, which arrived four years ago and continued the instrumental trio’s evolution through expansive, atmospheric post-metal.
For now, fans will have to settle for the teaser, with a full single announcement seemingly imminent.
