Chicago post-metal trio Russian Circles are gearing up to release their new studio album ‘Nine’, with the record set to arrive this Friday, August 28th.
Ahead of that release, the band have now shared a music video for “Seventh Seal,” the album’s closing track and the final advance single to emerge from the effort. According to the accompanying press materials, the song draws inspiration from the Cliff Burton era of Metallica.
‘Nine’ follows the band’s ongoing evolution of their instrumental post-metal sound, with “Seventh Seal” providing one final preview of what awaits on the forthcoming record.
Russian Circles have also lined up an extensive run of live dates in support of the album, including upcoming shows with Pelican and Primitive Man.
