Platinum-certified nü-metal/hard rock veterans Saliva have dropped their new single “Cope”, featuring guest vocals from Trevor McNevan, frontman of Christian rockers Thousand Foot Krutch. The track comes with a lyric video and continues the band’s collaboration with Judge And Jury Records, the label and production collective led by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, P.O.D.) and Neil Sanderson (Three Days Grace).
Vocalist Bobby Amaru shared his thoughts on the track:
“‘Cope‘ is about the quiet battles young people fight while trying to figure out who they are in a world that doesn’t always make it easy. It’s for every kid who feels too much, thinks too hard, and is just trying to make it through the noise. Having Trevor McNevan on this track was a blast and I feel that he really brought the song home.”
McNevan added his perspective on the collaboration:
“‘Cope‘ is about losing control—and realizing you were never meant to have control in the first place. The song really illustrates the feeling of hitting the bottom and realizing the only way up is to surrender.”
“Cope” delivers a nostalgic throwback to early-2000s rap rock while maintaining the modern punch and production sheen fans expect from Saliva.
