Sepultura’s planned farewell concert in São Paulo, Brazil, has been moved to a significantly smaller venue.
The Brazilian metal legends’ final scheduled live performance will now take place on November 7 at Suhai Music Hall, which has a capacity of roughly 9,000. The show was originally booked for Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, a stadium capable of accommodating approximately 26,000 attendees.
The downsized venue represents a substantial reduction in capacity for what is expected to be Sepultura’s final concert, although the previously announced lineup of special guests remains intact. Krisiun, Metal Allegiance and Sacred Reich are all scheduled to open the show.
There had been considerable fan interest in the possibility of Max and Iggor Cavalera joining their former bandmates for a final performance, potentially bringing the group’s farewell full circle. However, the brothers have previously indicated that they turned down the opportunity following discussions with the band, making their involvement in the November 7 show appear increasingly unlikely.
