Pittsburgh deathcore juggernauts Signs Of The Swarm have unleashed their latest music video, pairing the release of “Natural Selection” with the arrival of their sixth studio album, To Rid Myself Of Truth. The video was once again brought to life by director/musician Eric DiCarlo (Born Of Osiris, Face Yourself), a longtime collaborator of the band.
Frontman David Simonich reflected on the track’s importance, saying:
“‘Natural Selection’ has become a defining moment in our live set. We’ve played it across North America and Europe, and the crowd response made it clear—this song had to be the anchor of our album cycle. It’s about transformation: the prey becoming the predator, surpassing limits, and evolving into something stronger.”
Speaking on the record as a whole, Simonich shared just how personal this one feels:
“‘To Rid Myself Of Truth’ has been a heavy burden on my shoulders for a long time. It’s by far the most personal and honest record I’ve made with Signs Of The Swarm. It dives headfirst into vulnerability, pulling from my own experiences. My hope is that it impacts listeners as deeply as it has impacted me.”
Drummer Bobby Crow echoed that sentiment, calling the release a milestone moment for the band:
“We set out to make something heavy and cathartic, and the response has been heart-warming. After six albums, I truly think TRMOT has something for everyone who has followed us over the last 11 years. ‘Natural Selection’ felt like the right track to close out the album cycle—we wanted to release it properly, and now it’s finally here.”
Signs Of The Swarm will bring their new material to the stage this fall, kicking off a North American tour in October and November.
