Progressive metal innovators SikTh have shared the final installment in their series of in-studio live performance videos filmed at Marshall, closing out the run with a performance of “Flogging The Horses.” The release also serves as a lead-in to the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of the band’s sophomore album, ‘Death Of A Dead Day,’ arriving December 4.
For the anniversary edition, SikTh enlisted Adam “Nolly” Getgood of Periphery to deliver a fresh mix of the 2006 record, giving the album a new sonic presentation two decades after its original release. The band recently previewed the updated version of “Flogging The Horses,” revisiting a track that originally served as a lead single during the album’s initial release cycle.
With the new live-in-studio performance now available, fans can revisit one of the record’s standout tracks ahead of the anniversary edition’s arrival. The release offers another look at SikTh’s intricate, technically demanding approach to progressive metal while building anticipation for the refreshed version of ‘Death Of A Dead Day’.
