Silly Goose are calling on fans for support following the recent arrest of frontman Jackson Foster, who was taken into custody after the band performed a guerilla-style show in the parking lot of a BP gas station in Chicago, IL. The arrest occurred just days after their set at this year’s Lollapalooza festival.
Known for their unconventional, DIY show tactics, the nü-metal revivalists had received permission from the gas station’s manager to perform on-site in exchange for $100. Despite this agreement, police arrived during the set and arrested Foster for criminal trespass, even though the band ceased performing immediately upon law enforcement’s arrival.
Now, Silly Goose have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover legal expenses in an effort to clear Foster’s record, which could affect future overseas touring plans. In a statement, Foster shared:
“Nobody got hurt, we were just playing music, and when the cops got there, we stopped playing. I got off of the van and was immediately put in handcuffs and brought to jail with little to no explanation. I spent the night in jail and received a criminal trespass charge. It is crucial we get this charge off of my record so that we can tour overseas in the future.”
Silly Goose followed up the arrest by hosting a listening party for their upcoming album ‘Keys To The City’ across the street from the same gas station the following day. The record is due out October 10th.
The band has built a reputation for taking their music directly to the people — having previously performed in Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, Buc-ee’s, and more.
They’ll be hitting the road throughout the rest of 2025 in support of the new album.
