A portion of the Slipknot fanbase has voiced criticism over Marilyn Manson being booked for select dates of the band’s upcoming 2027 “(sic)est Stadium Tour.”
Manson is currently scheduled to join Slipknot for the tour’s July 3 stop at Wembley Stadium in London, alongside Lorna Shore and Hatebreed. He will also appear on several South American dates later in the run with Hatebreed.
Following the tour announcement, some fans took to social media to object to Manson’s inclusion, with some saying they intend to skip the shows featuring him.
“Why you are offering support to someone as vile as Manson is beyond me. So disgusting. Anyone going and supporting this is a weirdo.”
The reaction comes in the context of allegations of sexual assault, domestic violence and other abuse that have been made against Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, by multiple women.
Evan Rachel Wood publicly accused Manson of abuse in 2021, and other women subsequently made allegations of their own. Manson has denied the accusations and has maintained that his sexual relationships were consensual.
There have also been significant legal developments since the allegations first became public. In January 2025, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that it would not bring criminal charges against Manson following a four-year investigation. Prosecutors said the domestic violence allegations they reviewed were outside the applicable statute of limitations, while they determined that the available evidence did not establish sexual assault charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
Manson also filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood and artist Illma Gore in 2022. Several claims were subsequently dismissed, and Manson ultimately dropped his remaining claims and appeal in November 2024 while agreeing to pay nearly $327,000 toward Wood’s legal fees.
The response to Manson’s inclusion has not been entirely uniform, however, with some fans expressing support for the pairing. Neither Slipknot nor Manson had publicly commented on the criticism as of the source report.
Slipknot’s stadium run will begin in London before moving through North and South America. Bring Me The Horizon will serve as direct support throughout the North American leg, while a number of other acts are scheduled for individual dates.
