Slipknot continue to see their influence reach beyond heavy music, as the band’s fan-favorite track “(sic)” has been featured in a newly released short film from Italian luxury fashion house Gucci.
A brief clip of the song appears in the latest campaign piece issued as part of Gucci’s pre-fall rollout, blending the chaotic energy of early Slipknot with the brand’s high-fashion presentation.
The short film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, the acclaimed filmmaker known for works such as The Zone Of Interest and Sexy Beast.
Originally released on Slipknot’s landmark 1999 self-titled debut album, “(sic)” remains one of the group’s most recognizable early tracks and a staple among longtime fans.
The collaboration marks another example of heavy music increasingly intersecting with luxury fashion and mainstream visual culture, with Slipknot now joining a growing list of artists whose catalogs are being used in high-profile brand campaigns.
