Slipknot bassist Alessandro “Vman” Venturella is the latest member of the iconic masked metal juggernaut to unveil a new look on stage. While the band gave their stage attire a significant overhaul in 2024 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1999 self-titled debut, it appears that updates to their ever-evolving masks are still ongoing.
During their headlining performance on July 19th at the Inkcarceration Festival in Mansfield, OH, Vman took the stage sporting a noticeably updated mask. Fan-shot footage from the show shows off the new design, which appears to incorporate layered elements that can be peeled away to reveal a more familiar, ridged look beneath — a nod to Vman’s previous masks.
Despite battling uncooperative weather conditions, Slipknot powered through a 14-song set to close out the festival’s second night. However, M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan was once again absent from the stage, continuing his time away from the road to tend to an ongoing family emergency — a situation that previously kept him from joining the band on their recent European tour.
