Industrial metal veterans Static-X have lent their music to the newly unveiled reveal trailer for ‘Stage Tour’, an upcoming rhythm game being billed as a spiritual successor to the classic ‘Guitar Hero’ franchise.
‘Stage Tour’ is currently in development from several veterans who previously worked on the original Guitar Hero series. With Kramer – Gibson confirmed as partners on a new guitar peripheral, RedOctane are targeting a fall 2026 launch as they look to help reignite interest in the once-dominant plastic-instrument rhythm genre.
RedOctane had previously been developing a guitar controller designed for compatibility with titles such as Fortnite Festival, Rock Band, and Clone Hero. Now, the focus has shifted toward building out a full standalone experience with ‘Stage Tour.’
While there’s currently no official word on additional licensed artists for the game, the reveal trailer hints that heavy music fans may have something to look forward to. The clip is set to Static-X’s “Terminator Oscillator,” suggesting at least one dose of industrial metal may make its way onto the soundtrack when the game arrives next year.
