Suicidal Tendencies have officially welcomed Xavier Ware (Sweet Dream, etc.) as their new drummer. Ware steps into the role following the recent departure of Jay Weinberg and is already fully integrated into the band’s extended creative orbit.
According to a newly shared statement from the crossover thrash veterans, Ware has already been busy in the studio, contributing drum tracks to the adjacent Cyco Miko project. His first official run behind the kit with Suicidal Tendencies will begin aboard the upcoming ShipRocked Cruise.
The band announced the news on January 23rd, writing:
“We’re SToked to introduce you to X, the new SxTx drummer!
X has already recorded some tracks for the new Cyco Miko album and is ready to officially jump on board with ST STarting with the ShipRocked Cruise.
This will be ST’s 3rd time doing ShipRocked and each time keeps getting better.
Looking forward to seeing you there and or any of the shows/festivals coming this year.So please welcome X and look out for lots of new annoucements coming soon from ST and the Cyco Family for 2026 and beyond!”
Throughout their decades-spanning career, Suicidal Tendencies have cycled through more than a dozen drummers, including high-profile names such as Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer), Brooks Wackerman (Avenged Sevenfold), Greyson Nekrutman (Sepultura), and others — underscoring the significance of Ware stepping into one of the most storied rhythm seats in heavy music.
