The Pretty Reckless Vocalist Taylor Momsen Bitten By Spider On AC/DC Tour Following Previous Bat Incident

The Pretty Reckless vocalist/guitarist Taylor Momsen has once again found herself dealing with an unexpected on-tour injury — this time involving a venomous spider.

Momsen revealed via social media on April 8th that she was bitten during the band’s current run supporting AC/DC in Mexico City. The incident required medical attention, with the singer receiving treatment shortly before taking the stage.

In a video shared online, Momsen made light of the situation by referencing comic book lore, joking about when her superpowers might appear — a clear nod to Spider-Man.

She later elaborated on the ordeal, writing:

“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit…this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl? WTF”

Footage from the moment shows Momsen being treated by medical staff, including receiving an injection backstage.

This marks the second unusual on-tour incident for Momsen in recent years. During a 2024 performance in Seville, Spain, she was bitten by a bat mid-set — an incident that required multiple follow-up shots to prevent potential rabies exposure.

Despite the bizarre string of mishaps, The Pretty Reckless continue to move forward with their current tour — and the added attention certainly isn’t hurting anticipation for their upcoming album, ‘Dear God’, which is scheduled for release on June 26th via Fearless Records.
