The long-running Two Minutes To Late Night has officially returned, reviving its collaborative “bedroom cover” format with a new take on Iron Age’s Burden Of Empire.
This latest entry — the 67th in the series — brings the project back for the first time since November 2024, continuing its tradition of assembling musicians from across the modern crossover and extreme metal scenes.
The cover was organized by Jordan Olds, also known as Gwarsenio Hall, who described the selection of Iron Age as a tribute to the band’s lasting influence on the genre.
“Wake up Sleeping Eye. No ones in a bedroom but please enjoy our 67th cover We’re back with a song by the best band of the 21st Century/The band that inspired Power Trip and every crossover band of the last 25 years.”
As with previous installments, the track features a lineup drawn from several notable underground acts:
- Vocals: Jack Collinson (Jack Collinson) – Judiciary
- Guitars: Chris Bonner (Chris Bonner) – Frozen Soul
- Bass: Addrian Jafaritabar (Addrian Jafaritabar) – Creeping Death / Saintpeeler
- Drums: Lincoln Mullins (Lincoln Mullins) – Fugitive
The project continues its reputation for spotlighting crossover talent across the heavy music underground while paying homage to influential acts from the genre’s past.
