On a recent episode of the long-running TV singing competition ‘American Idol’, some iconic nü-metal tracks were brought to the stage by 18-year-old contestant Insite, who made a strong impression with his audition. He covered Korn‘s 1998 classic “Freak On A Leash” and Drowning Pool‘s 2001 hit “Bodies”.
Carrie Underwood, the multi-platinum country artist and judge, expressed her enthusiasm for both songs, singing along and even joining Insite onstage for the performance of “Bodies”. After their duet, Underwood fondly reflected, saying, “That was high school for me.”
