Australian metalcore band Windwaker have announced that keyboardist, synths and samples player, and production manager Connor Robins will step away from performing for the remainder of 2026 to prioritize his health.
The decision has forced the group to withdraw from this year’s Hellbound Cruise, though the band confirmed that its other scheduled shows will proceed as planned.
In a statement shared on October 12, Windwaker explained that Robins’ role extends beyond his onstage contributions, making adjustments to their touring and production setup necessary.
“After two years of consistent and demanding touring, our Synths & Samples player and Production Manager, Connor Robins, has made the difficult decision to step away from performing for the remainder of the year to prioritise his health.”
The band apologized to fans who were planning to see them aboard the cruise, acknowledging that many had already made arrangements around the event.
“We’re genuinely sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us at Hellbound. We know a lot of you have already made plans around the cruise, and we don’t take the disappointment of a change to the lineup lightly.”
Despite the cancellation, Windwaker confirmed that their remaining touring schedule is continuing as planned while they work through the necessary changes behind the scenes.
Robins also briefly addressed his absence in a separate post, reassuring fans that he intends to remain connected to the band.
“I’ll have more to say soon, and I’m not going anywhere — I just need a second to catch my breath.”
