The first wave of artists has been announced for the 2027 edition of ‘Bloodstock Open Air‘. Next year’s festival is scheduled for August 05th-08th at Catton Park in Derbyshire, UK, with Danish heavy metal veterans Mercyful Fate among the first acts confirmed for the bill.
The group, who recently began revealing their plans for a return to the live circuit in 2027, will headline the opening night of next year’s ‘Bloodstock‘. The appearance marks another major festival booking for the band as they prepare to resume live activities.
Electric Callboy will take top billing on the second night, while industrial metalcore outfit Motionless In White will headline the festival’s closing night.
The initial lineup also features the return of reunited sludge metal outfit Acid Bath, while the current incarnation of Children Of Bodom is set to deliver a rare live performance. The first announcement also includes a wide range of acts spanning extreme metal, metalcore, industrial, death metal and more.

Early bird tickets for the 2027 ‘Bloodstock Open Air‘ festival are scheduled to go on sale August 10th at 09:00am BST via bloodstock.uk.com.
More artists are expected to be announced as the festival lineup continues to take shape.
