A Wake In Providence have officially parted ways with lead vocalist Adam Mercer, marking the band’s second major frontman departure in recent years. Mercer had been with the deathcore outfit since 2018, stepping in after Will Ramos left the group to eventually front Lorna Shore.
In a statement issued today, the band shared:
“We’re beyond grateful to @adam_vocals for everything he’s brought to AWIP—his passion, talent, and dedication have left a lasting mark on this band and our fans. As he moves on to new endeavors, we wish him nothing but success and continued growth. We know our fans will join us in supporting him wherever the road takes him.
This isn’t the end of AWIP, just the close of an incredible chapter. AWIP will continue.”
