Russian deathcore outfit Slaughter To Prevail have seen their share of controversy during their rise within the heavy music world—much of it surrounding frontman Alex Terrible and his past actions.
Terrible has faced longstanding criticism for past affiliations and comments, including his one-time association with fascist circles and a tattoo of the “black sun,” a symbol with known links to neo-Nazism. Additionally, previous posts on social media have led to accusations of homophobia and transphobia. In a video posted in December 2023, Terrible addressed these issues directly, denying any current extremist beliefs and framing his earlier comments about “real men” as a poorly received joke.
Despite his statement, controversy continues to follow both Terrible and the band. That controversy has now extended to their tourmates on Slaughter To Prevail’s recently announced early 2026 European/UK headlining run. The lineup includes death metal veterans Dying Fetus, deathcore pioneers Suicide Silence, and UK heavyweights Annotations Of An Autopsy—all of whom have faced a wave of negative reactions across social media since the tour was announced earlier this week.
Today, June 05th, Terrible issued a response to the backlash via his social media accounts, addressing the flood of criticism aimed at the supporting bands and attempting to move the focus back to the music.
“I went to @suicidesilence and @dyingfetusofficial pages and read all hate comments from people. They mad about our own headline tour.
Listen I grew up with suicide silence music and never imagined they will open for my band. To be honest I still don’t know how to react for this and for me personally I prefer touring without any support bands. Just us and we did it a lot of times already and sell out big Venues wich is very very good. But people always complained it was just us and they want more. Well our team worked it out and asked sick bands to tour with us and now people complain this band touring with us coz of US in our own tour WHAT THE FFFFFF”

Cameron Hellbound people change as they mature if they allow themselves to. Alex also was a drug addict and alcohol alcoholic at the time he was hanging out with bad influences. He had a near death experience and changed his life for the better. This happened to him as a young man. now he’s older and realize that he had made some bad decisions in life and changed his life around. It takes a lot for somebody to stay sober and to change their thinking process and belief system. This is the biggest accomplishment that any man could do for his life.
