Canadian post-hardcore stalwarts Alexisonfire are paying tribute to their roots with an upcoming EP, Copies Of Old Masters: Volume 1. The first installment in this covers series features four tracks from iconic Canadian bands, with their take on The Tragically Hip’s 1992 classic “Fully Completely” leading the way. Fans may recognize the track from live performances dating back to 2007, but the studio version is now officially available.
The four-song EP, set for release on November 7th via Dine Alone, will feature the following tracklist:
01 – “Neighbourhood Villain” (Doughboys cover)
02 – “Cuz” (Shallow North Dakota cover)
03 – “Fully Completely” (The Tragically Hip cover)
04 – “Misogyny” (Rusty cover)
Pre-orders are open now at alexisonfirestream.com/fullycompletely. Vocalist George Pettit commented on the project:
“One of those things where you come up with the idea, you say it out loud, and then you never do it. For most people it would probably end there. Lucky for you, Alexisonfire isn’t ‘most people.’ We love fun.”
