Saliva frontman Bobby Amaru has released a new music video for his cover of Linkin Park’s “Given Up,” offering his take on one of the standout tracks from the band’s 2007 album ‘Minutes To Midnight’.
The newly unveiled video was directed by Toddi Babu, bringing a visual component to Amaru’s interpretation of the song, which originally served as the fourth single from Linkin Park’s third studio album.
Cover songs have become familiar territory for Amaru in recent years. He previously attracted online attention alongside his daughter through a series of collaborative performances, including their rendition of Linkin Park’s “Faint.”
That particular cover also led to a connection with Mike Shinoda, who joined Amaru and his daughter for a collaborative covers session back in 2023.
Amaru’s latest release continues his ongoing interest in reinterpreting material from other artists, this time taking on one of Linkin Park’s most recognizable songs from the ‘Minutes To Midnight’ era.
