ALICE IN CHAINS Announce 30th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set & Vinyl Reissue For Self-Titled Album

Alice In Chains have announced a 30th anniversary deluxe box set for their 1995 self-titled studio album — the final full-length to feature the late Layne Staley. Originally released on October 31st, 1995, the record stands as one of the band’s most defining works, earning 2x platinum certification and delivering enduring tracks like “Grind,” “Again,” and “Heaven Beside You.”

The deluxe box set comes packed with collectibles, including pop-up gatefold packaging, three 7″ singles of the original singles, twelve tarot cards, ten custom art prints, a hardcover comic book, a 3D ballerina and zoetrope coin, cassette copy of the album, two double-sided 24×24” posters, and more. The set is limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, with pre-orders now available via shop.aliceinchains.com.

Additional anniversary merchandise has also been unveiled — including several shirt designs, a hoodie, a “tripod” dog collar, and a limited edition skateboard deck made in partnership with Welcome Skateboards.

Alongside the deluxe box, Legacy Recordings will issue a 30th anniversary vinyl reissue of the self-titled album on January 30th, available in a translucent highlighter yellow with black and white splatter variant (limited to 4,000 copies) through select retailers. A standard purple and yellow swirl pressing is also available via the band’s official webstore.

To commemorate the milestone, Alice In Chains are expected to roll out a retrospective social media series over the next two weeks, celebrating the legacy of the self-titled era and its place in their storied discography.
