Just hours after announcing her departure from Arch Enemy, vocalist Alissa White-Gluz unveiled a new preview from her long-developing solo project. The newly released single, ‘The Room Where She Died’, arrives alongside a full music video she scripted herself.
Co-written with Kamelot/Doro Pesch member Oliver Palotai, the track marks White-Gluz’s first major step into her own creative chapter since parting ways with the band.
White-Gluz introduced the song with a message to fans:
“I hope you love this first offering from my upcoming solo album. You can watch the whole video on my YouTube channel.
‘The Room Where She Died’ is a song that feels truly satisfying to me; like I get to express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years. This upcoming album is diverse; and I love the idea of opening up this new chapter with this song and video, which I wrote the script for.
Can’t wait to share more with you!”
Drumming on the track was handled by Kamelot’s Alex Landenburg, who recorded the song’s studio percussion.
A full release date for White-Gluz’s solo album has yet to be revealed.

I met her once and she was really cool. It was the other times I interacted with her that made me distance myself from her and her music. I wish her all the best and hope she has success with her next adventure but if this release is what she is going for it’s not for me. I loved her stuff with her first band. This only the first single so I will keep an open mind musically but as far as my money that’s going to stay in my pocket. Again I do hope she can move forward with her band her way.
