Archspire Unleash “The Vessel” Video, Satirize AI Production Ahead Of ‘Too Fast To Die’ Release

Technical death metal standouts Archspire have unveiled a new music video for “The Vessel,” offering fans another glimpse at their upcoming album Too Fast To Die ahead of its release next week.

The band kept production largely internal this time around, with guitarist Dean Lamb directing the clip. Lamb also co-wrote the concept alongside vocalist Oliver Rae Aleron and assistant director Sav Bagshaw, continuing the group’s increasingly hands-on creative approach following the successful crowdfunding campaign for the record.

The video leans heavily into satire, introducing a fictional automated production system dubbed the “Phrygian Dominator,” a tongue-in-cheek jab at modern AI-driven music creation and technological overreach. The concept even includes a playful nod to album producer Dave Otero, presented through an exaggerated mock advertisement featured within the clip.

“Oterobotics presents: Phrygian Dominator — the fully autonomous music production system designed to handle composition, arrangement, and final mix, taking humans entirely out of the picture.”

The fictional product description escalates into absurd humor, complete with warnings about catastrophic malfunctions and questionable results.

“Like, literally stand back. Maybe hide under a desk or something.”

Too Fast To Die arrives April 10th, marking the band’s latest studio effort following a fan-funded campaign that quickly exceeded expectations. Shortly after the album drops, Archspire will launch their headlining ‘Long Roads Big Loads Tour’ with support from Undeath, Crown Magnetar, and Mutilation Barbecue.
