As I Lay Dying have officially revealed the final leg of their ongoing 20th anniversary celebration for their landmark 2005 album ‘Shadows Are Security,’ bringing the commemorative touring cycle to a close with a Southwest-focused U.S. run later this year.
The newly announced dates will take place throughout November and December 2026, with stops scheduled across California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado.
Frontman Tim Lambesis reflected on revisiting the era surrounding the influential metalcore record and how the anniversary shows have impacted the band creatively moving forward:
“I’ve had an incredible time celebrating ‘Shadows Are Security’ over the past year and reconnecting with the mindset that shaped that album in the earliest days of As I Lay Dying.”
He continued by explaining that revisiting the album has directly influenced the writing process for the band’s next record:
“Reflecting on that chapter has been both nostalgic and deeply motivating—it’s reminded me of a spark that was always there, and that renewed perspective has absolutely influenced the way I’ve approached writing for the new album.”
Lambesis also described the upcoming dates as a final opportunity to celebrate the album alongside longtime fans:
“These final anniversary dates are a chance to celebrate that connection one last time with the fans who have been part of this journey.”
While support acts for the run have not yet been announced, additional details are expected in the coming weeks.

Just fuck off Tim. No one cares.
It’s been well over a decade since AILD put out anything good.
I thought it said final tour and had hopes up
can’t support Tim
Fuck that guy and any iteration of this band he forms.
I remember seeing the CD release show in San Diego for this album…. Shame that he screwed everything up enough to where they can’t even do a 20th release date show in the home town.
Yea after their planned concert in israel, im all set.
This turd just won’t flush huh?
They are coming to my hometown and the amount of people going to support them is sad
Elijah Villegas who cares what people think what they going to do beat us all up lol just cause we are going to see a band with a lead singer that try to kill his wife yall support worse then that and yall don’t even know. Point is who cares what people think rather they like me or not im still going I’m still going to continue to keep doing what I do everyday cause that’s just what to do. Point is who cares what other people think of you cause of ur beliefs or ur likes. Continue to do the best every day and careless about rather they like u or not .. or what ever the next person gots going on unless he is some chomo or some shit then kill them but just keep on trucking along bro you’ll be okay .
A stain on the album. He even had a shot at redemption. 🤦
