An Avenged Sevenfold fan had a memorable moment onstage this past Saturday, August 8th, in Montreal, Quebec, after being invited up by vocalist M. Shadows during the band’s performance.
Once handed the microphone, the fan wasted little time making the stage their own, effectively taking over lead vocal duties for “Unholy Confessions,” a track from the band’s 2003 album ‘Waking The Fallen.’
Shadows eventually joined in with backing vocals during part of the performance, allowing the unexpected guest to continue leading the crowd through the song.
It appears the entire moment was planned at least in part, as Shadows could be seen motioning toward security before the fan was brought onto the stage. The fan had also seemingly been holding up a sign beforehand.
Video captured from the audience has since made the rounds online, with the fan’s energetic performance earning plenty of attention.
The Montreal show was part of Avenged Sevenfold’s ongoing tour with Good Charlotte. The run also features the former’s electronic alter ego STATICA, with Jayden Hammer opening those sets.
