Avenged Sevenfold’s “Unholy Confessions” From ‘Waking The Fallen’ Hits Platinum In the U.S.

Avenged Sevenfold have earned a new major milestone in the United States, as “Unholy Confessions”—the second single from their 2003 melodic metalcore classic “Waking The Fallen”—has officially been certified platinum.

The track previously reached gold status in March 2021, the same month the album itself also went platinum. The new certification marks over 1,000,000 units earned in the U.S.

A platinum certification in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. The RIAA now counts far more than physical and digital sales, with 10 permanent track downloads equaling one unit, 150 on-demand audio/video streams equaling one track unit, and 1500 album streams equaling an album-equivalent unit.
