Professional skateboarder Bam Margera, known for ‘Jackass’ and other projects, has shared a heartfelt tribute to his late friend Brent Hinds, the Mastodon guitarist and vocalist who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on August 20th.

In addition to reflecting on their friendship, Margera revealed that he and Hinds had recently been in the studio together, working on new material with Margera’s band Amore Ad Lunam. His full tribute reads:
“I am devastated and still processing the tragic loss of one of my closest friends Brent Hinds. Around the time Ryan Dunn died, I met Brent on the Soundwave Festival in Australia and said to him in a joking way ‘you look and act like Ryan Dunn and we should just be best friends’ and he said ‘ok’ and just like that we were. Brent and I recently had been recording tracks on a new album with a new band I have been doing vocals with called @amoreadlunam …It has been a privilege and honor working with Brent. I cherish the time we spent together working on guitar tracks and vocals that we just very recently layed down together. My friends Stevaughn Decay and Eman have gathered some clips and pics for a special slideshow ending with Brent breaking my arm with a golf club by accident. R.I.P brother.”
The post highlights not only the creative collaboration between Margera and Hinds but also the bond they shared, underscoring the impact of Hinds’ loss on friends and fellow musicians alike.
