Former I Prevail vocalist Brian Burkheiser says his plans to launch a new solo project have been delayed due to issues with his former band. In a post shared on August 25th, Burkheiser explained:
“Due to an unresolved dispute with my former band I Prevail, I am being blocked from releasing my song ‘Phases‘, as well as other new music.
I’m deeply disappointed, but I’m doing everything I can to move things forward.
I want to thank my family, friends, and most importantly, my fans for their unwavering support.”

Burkheiser parted ways with the platinum-certified metalcore act this past May. At the time, he stressed on social media that there was “no beef” with his bandmates. More recently, he had been teasing his next musical venture under the name Scatterbrain.
The vocalist has also been open about his mental health journey. Just three weeks ago, he revealed he had fallen into a “manic state” over the summer and described his mental health as being at an “all time low.” He later shared that he had “got the help I needed” and was prepared to move forward with his new project.
