CASPIAN Hit With Fake EP Upload, Assure Fans Real New Music Is on the Way

Caspian are urging fans to stay vigilant after fraudulent music falsely attributed to the band surfaced on digital streaming platforms. Over the past several days, a fake EP and other unauthorized content have appeared under their name, prompting concern among listeners.

In a statement issued this morning (April 21st), the Massachusetts post-rock outfit addressed the issue directly:

“HI ALL – WE ARE AWARE OF THE FAKE ACCOUNTS POSTING MUSIC UNDER OUR NAME ON DIGITAL STREAMING PLATFORMS AND ARE WORKING TO HAVE THEM TAKEN DOWN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN INCREASING ISSUE AMONGST ARTISTS IN THE DIGITAL AGE AND ONE OF THE MANY BLIND SPOTS INHERENT TO THESE PLATFORMS.

IF AND WHEN WE RELEASE NEW MUSIC, WHICH WE ARE ACTIVELY WORKING ON, YOU’LL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW AND THERE WILL BE NO CONFUSION. IN THE MEANTIME. PLEASE DON’T STREAM OR LISTEN TO THESE ACCOUNTS.
