Nearly two decades after its release, Chiodos have earned their first-ever RIAA Gold certification in the United States.
The band’s breakout track, “Baby, You Wouldn’t Last A Minute On The Creek,” from 2005’s All’s Well That Ends Well, officially reached the milestone on June 15, giving the post-hardcore outfit its first Gold-certified release.
Frontman Craig Owens celebrated the achievement by thanking fans who have kept the song alive over the years.
“Gold. After all these years, ‘Baby, You Wouldn’t Last a Minute on the Creek’ has officially been certified Gold. Thank you for carrying this song with us, screaming every word, and making Chiodos a part of your lives. We can’t wait to celebrate together on our upcoming summer run.”
The certification caps off a busy period for the band. In 2025, Chiodos released a newly recorded version of All’s Well That Ends Well to mark the album’s 20th anniversary. The project generated mixed reactions after several former members publicly criticized the decision.
Since reviving Chiodos in 2024, Owens has remained the band’s lone original member, leading an entirely new lineup that recorded the anniversary edition of the album.
The RIAA awards Gold certification to singles and albums that reach 500,000 certified units in the United States, combining physical and digital sales with streaming equivalents.
