Chris Daughtry is calling out a persistent wave of AI-generated misinformation that has been circulating across social platforms for months. The multi-platinum hard rock vocalist posted a video message last week addressing fabricated images, fake headlines, and politically-charged stories being falsely attributed to him.
The compilation he shared showcased several AI-generated photos and sensationalized clickbait titles that have been spreading widely on Facebook in particular. According to Daughtry, he and his team have repeatedly filed reports to have the fraudulent content removed, but the response has been minimal.
In his public message, he emphasized both the personal impact of seeing such falsehoods and his complete rejection of the political messages falsely attached to his likeness. He also warned fans about a growing scam in which impersonators pretend to be musicians and solicit money or donations through direct messages.
“I certainly don’t stand with MAGA, Charlie Kirk, Turning Point, or any of these politically motivated narratives being falsely tied to my image.”
He further assured fans that he would never directly message supporters to ask for financial contributions, urging them to rely only on verified and official Daughtry social accounts for legitimate communication.
