Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, drummer for Better Lovers, has shared a heartwarming update regarding his daughter Sage’s battle with cancer. In a new personal post, Holyoak revealed that after months of treatment at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Sage is officially in remission.
Holyoak wrote:
“We are so incredibly relieved and overwhelmed with happiness to say that she is officially in remission! Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City deserves a huge spotlight for the care they gave to Sage, @__lifeispeachy and I over the past months we spent there. Thank you everyone that stopped by or reached out in any way! It really did help us push through it all. And now… we celebrate! Super Nintendo World we see you…”
He also announced that he’s releasing a limited-edition screen-printed poster — artwork he completed while at the hospital — to raise funds for Sage. The prints, inspired by Shepard Fairey and themed around leukemia awareness, are now available for preorder via the link in his bio, with orders shipping the second week of August.
Holyoak added that between Sage’s recovery, a recent family loss, moving into a new home, and prepping for Better Lovers’ upcoming second LP, life has been moving at full speed.
“If you got this far you are a beautiful soul. Thank you for reading!”
