Platinum-certified prog rock favorites Coheed And Cambria were officially honored in their hometown of Nyack, NY yesterday, April 13th, receiving the key to the village in a ceremony attended by the mayor and local city council members.
In true rock fashion, the key was uniquely crafted in the shape of a guitar, a fitting tribute to a band that has carried the spirit of Nyack across global stages for over two decades.
To commemorate the moment, the village also declared April 13th as “Coheed And Cambria Day.” The band capped off the celebration with a special acoustic performance, held as part of Nyack’s annual spring festival.
Footage from the event has since surfaced online, showcasing the band’s heartfelt interaction with their community and the guitar-key presentation.
