Prog rock icons Coheed And Cambria unveil their latest single, “The Joke”, a b-side extracted from the acclaimed album Vaxis – Act II: A Window Of The Waking Mind. Alongside this release is a freshly remixed and remastered rendition of “Deranged”, originally featured in the 2011 video game, ‘Batman: Arkham City‘.
Both tracks are now available for streaming online, with the premiere of “The Joke” music video. Lead vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez shares insight into the song, stating, “The essence of ‘The Joke’ resonates with offering oneself as a punching bag for others.”
Fans can also grab a limited edition 7″ vinyl featuring these tracks via coheedandcambria.com, with additional copies distributed through Evil Ink, Revolver, and Brooklyn Vegan. Coinciding with this musical extravaganza, the debut issue of Sanchez‘s latest comic series, ‘The Amory Wars: No World for Tomorrow‘, hits stands today.
