Florida-based metalcore outfit concealer. have officially joined the Pure Noise Records roster, with the label partnership set to kick off with a reissue of the band’s latest album, ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’.
The record is scheduled to receive a new release on December 18, with pre-orders now available through Pure Noise Records.
The band shared their excitement about the signing, reflecting on how far they have come since their early days playing songs for local audiences. They also credited the collaborative process behind ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’ with helping strengthen their relationships as musicians and friends.
“It all feels surreal. Growing up, you see a ton of bands ‘make it’, including bands local to you. Starting out, it was very exciting just to see people even know the words to the songs. When people grabbed the mic for the first couple of times, it was really thrilling. Having people stage-diving to songs you wrote in your drummer’s apartment is really like a dream come true. It is hard to imagine it getting any better than that. The band almost entirely comes from different musical backgrounds, but, having a label like Pure Noise come metaphorically knocking on your door got all of us excited. It took some deliberation for it to settle in like ‘Are we really about to do this?’.”
The group went on to highlight the importance of their latest album, describing its creation as the most collaborative effort they have undertaken so far.
“‘This Room Can Be Heaven’ was huge for us in more ways than one. One of the most valuable things that it produced for the band was internal. The album was the most collaborative effort the band has done to date, and, seeing it bearing more fruitful results, not only did it solidify that everybody had something to bring to the table that mattered, but, it brought us together closer as friends.”
Looking ahead, concealer. are eager to take their music to new audiences, revisit familiar cities and continue working on fresh material with the backing of their new label.
“In the future, we are very excited to tour places we haven’t been to before, and, to return to spots we have already been and link up with friends we have met along the way. We are addicted to writing new music, so, of course releasing new music is going to be a huge thing going forward with a label to back us.”
Before getting further into their plans with Pure Noise Records, concealer. will hit the road later this month as an opening act for British post-hardcore outfit Static Dress. The upcoming run includes the following dates:
