Veteran melodic metalcore outfit Darkest Hour have officially wrapped tracking on their eleventh studio album.
The band shared the news through guitarist Mike Schleibaum, who confirmed that recording sessions have concluded and that the project will now move into the mixing stage. The upcoming record was tracked with producer Mark Lewis, whose résumé includes work with Whitechapel and **Cannibal Corpse>.
The update follows the band’s recent decision to re-sign with MNRK Heavy head of entering the studio.
Schleibaum shared his excitement about reaching the latest milestone in the album’s creation:
“WE DID IT!!! We’ve completed the tracking of our 11th studio album!”
He went on to praise Lewis for his role in helping shape the record.
“Thank you so much to producer Mark Lewis who lent us his talent, patience, and guidance as we crafted what we feel like is one of our best records yet!”
Schleibaum also thanked the band’s label and supporters who helped make the project possible.
“Thank you so much to everyone at MNRK HEAVY RECORDS for believing in us and supporting this band once again on this release.”
He continued:
“Also shout out to our Patreons who have helped fund this awesomeness and have been there for every step. Did some live streaming for them, got lots of BHTS to share and will be hooking them up hard!”
With recording now complete, the focus shifts to final production work before the album is released.
“Mark is now gonna mix and then we are all gonna pit! New music on the way soon…album 11 is alive!”
No release date, title, or first single has been announced yet, but Darkest Hour have indicated that new music will be arriving in the near future.
