Darkest Hour and Misery Signals have cancelled their December West Coast tour due to COVID-19 complications. The bands have decided not to reschedule the tour. Darkest Hour offered the following statement:
“For those of you who are asking about our winter tour in the USA: Due to complications from the continuing COVID pandemic Darkest Hour and Misery Signals are saddened to announce the cancelation of all remaining tour dates for 2020, including their previously announced December USA tour together. We will be offering refunds from the point of purchase.”
However, the bands have decided to run a live-streamed show together. Darkest Hour announced:
“This streaming stuff is so much fun we’re gonna do it again!
Join us December 5th as we present an encore presentation of our Live at the Black Cat 2020 isolation concert (with a few surprises) along with a totally new live set from our good friends in Misery Signals!
Our last digital event raised over $6000.00 for our favorite live venue in DC, The Black Cat! THANK YOU!
The remaining proceeds from THESE ticket sales will go to benefit clubs all over the world who have been effected by our tour cancelations.
If you purchased one of our bundles from the last concert the records and T-shirts are on their way to you, they are coming from separate places, but never fear we will always make sure you’re taken care of. We’ve unleash some new merchandise bundles to keep things fun but we’d really love to just see you in the chat and at the zoom after party which will be available to all ticket holders (and include band members and guests)!
Our first ever Live Stream was a total success and a lot of fun, guess we will see you in the digital pit again!”
You can find tickets here. Misery Signals offered:
“Due to complications from the continuing COVID-19 pandemic we’re deeply disappointed to have to cancel the rest of our tour dates for 2020, including our US tour with friends @darkest_hour_official. Refunds can be requested from your point of purchase.
We are however very pleased that Darkest Hour have found a way for us to still pull off a live show with them this year… The live stream event will include full sets from BOTH BANDS, December 5th, 2020 (6:30 PM PST / 9:30 PM EST) via https://darkesthour.veeps.com/ – there will be a 24 hour on demand replay available directly after the show for all VEEPS ticket holders. So if you cant make it at the exact time of the stream you can always stream it for the following 24 hours! Our set is a brand new live show recorded exclusively for this event. We will also be participating in a live chat during the streaming event and on the live Zoom after party (directly after the show) which will be free to all ticket holders.
In addition to the live tickets we have 2 special bundles available including an exclusive Live: In Isolation Tee designed by @stuartdouglasross, and a limited to 150 Live Event Exclusive Vinyl variant color of Ultraviolet, “Purple Clouds.” As well as a special co-band Tee design.
Portions of the proceeds from the Live Event ticket sales will go to benefit clubs all over the world who were either effected by our tour cancelations or have hosted a Darkest Hour / Misery Signals Concert in the past. Thanks for your continued support!”
